Movement and stillness - one does not go without the other. Building a mobile body provides a solid support. Making time for stillness reflects and allows the system to process information.
The Yoga classes I teach are designed to develop strength and mobility and to introduce various meditation and breathing techniques (Pranayama) as a tool for balancing the mind.
By focusing on conscious breathing, my aim is to build fine structures between the subtle and the physical.
The calmness of yoga practice made me open up to the space where my mind learns to be quiet and still. There I found the joy and purpose of breathing.
